About me

As a Full Stack Engineer at the National Competitiveness Council, I develop and maintain web platforms that support the institution's public-sector initiatives. I build front-end applications with Vue.js and TypeScript and back-end services with Node.js and FastAPI, covering the full development cycle from design to deployment.

As a contractor for one of BairesDev's US-based clients, I build and maintain front-end features for a production Vue.js application. My work covers state management with Vuex and Pinia, styling with SASS, and a Vite-based build setup, delivering iteratively as part of an Agile team.

As a contractor for one of BairesDev's clients, I was responsible for creating and maintaining operational emails for multiple commercial brands. My duties included implementing HTML and CSS styles using SASS, writing AMPscript for dynamic content, and ensuring compliance with email marketing best practices. I worked closely with the client's marketing team to ensure that all email copy was translated accurately and that the emails were visually appealing and effective. This role required me to be highly organized, detail-oriented, and responsive to tight deadlines.

I joined Ensitech on a short-term contract as a Frontend Engineer, building user-facing features with Vue.js and TypeScript. I worked closely with the team to deliver responsive, maintainable UI components within tight timelines.

Customily is a Y Combinator-backed startup (S21) that provides a product personalization platform for e-commerce. As a Frontend Developer, I worked on the customer-facing tools that let shoppers preview and customize products in real time, delivering UI improvements during a short-term engagement.

Corotos is the largest second-hand e-commerce platform in the Dominican Republic, I was responsible for designing the architecture for the migration of an e-commerce Ruby on Rails application. I helped create all the UI screens for some modules and supervised and reviewed all pull requests from team members. Additionally, I assisted colleagues to keep them updated with all technologies and Vue best practices. This project required 24/7 activity with an uptime of 99%, so all sites had to be fastened and resilient with network, data access, and intercommunication with services from another environment.

In my role, I helped create all the UI screens for some modules and supervised and reviewed all pull requests from team members. Additionally, I assisted colleagues in keeping them updated with all technologies and Vue best practices.

In this position, I participated in a large migration project to transfer a monolithic Web Form .NET application to a client-server web app made with .Net core + Vue.js. As the frontend developer, I was responsible for designing the architecture for the whole solution, ensuring the reliability and scalability of the applications. Additionally, I assisted my colleagues in staying updated with all technologies and Vue and SCSS best practices. The role required working under the Scrum methodology throughout the project.

In my work on the Crunchyroll project, I was involved in the development of two static sites using Gatsby. I participated in the selection of the best technologies and ensured the reliability and scalability of both applications. Additionally, I supervised and reviewed all pull requests from team members and assisted colleagues in keeping them updated with all technologies and React best practices. Since the project required 24/7 activity with an uptime of 99%, I ensured that all sites were fastened and resilient with network, data access, and intercommunication with services from another environment. I worked under the Scrum methodology for this project.

On the NZXT project, I participated in a large migration project to transfer an e-commerce Ruby on Rails application and another with PHP Cake to a PHP Phalcon-based structure with microservices architecture. In this legacy service, I worked with three databases on SQL Server, MySQL, and Postgres that we migrated for a MySQL and Redis for the cache. In the new solution, I was responsible for designing the architecture for the whole solution, ensuring the reliability and scalability of the applications. I also helped make all the UI screens for some modules. We used AWS infrastructure with EC2 and S3 storage for this project. I also worked on the maintenance of an e-commerce made with Ruby on Rails in this legacy service.

At Intras, I was involved in a large migration project to transfer monolithic JSP applications to a client-server structure using PHP Phalcon and Vue.js. In the legacy service, I worked with SQL Server, which we migrated to MySQL, and Redis for caching. I also assisted my colleagues in keeping up-to-date with all the latest technologies and best practices in JavaScript and PHP.

In the new solution, I was responsible for designing the architecture, ensuring the reliability and scalability of the applications. I worked under the Scrum methodology throughout the project and later switched to Kanban for maintenance of the application. For development and deployment, we used VMware virtual machines, and later, we created some docker images for Centos PHP Phalcon to upgrade our infrastructure and optimize our CI/CD.

In this new solution, I designed the backend architecture for the entire solution and utilized ElasticSearch for more complex searches. We used AWS infrastructure with EC2 and S3 storage. Additionally, I contributed to developing all UI screens for some modules.

During my time as a junior web developer at TwoCare, I participated in the maintenance of three applications. One of the applications was a desktop application built using Electron that retrieved information such as specs, IP, domain, and DNS from the computer where the application was installed, to facilitate help desk support.

Another application I worked on was an Angular-based dashboard used to display real-time information from an electric power production plant. I contributed to the development of this application's features and functionality.

The third application was a Vue-based web application designed for call centers to manage call flows. I participated in the development of the application's user interface and utilized Vue, Sass, and WebSockets for the front-end implementation.

Throughout my time at TwoCare, I utilized various technologies to ensure optimal application performance, including MySQL and Redis for caching, and CircleCI and Jenkins for continuous integration and delivery.

During my internship at DA Sistemas Integrados, I had the opportunity to work on accounting and fuel management applications. In addition, I participated in a migration project aimed at transferring a monolithic Visual PRO/5 application to a Nodejs-based structure with microservices architecture.

In this project, I contributed to developing all user interface screens for some modules. I leveraged technologies such as AngularJS, NodeJS, and Microsoft SQL Server. Moreover, I deployed the application with IIS on a dedicated server with Windows Server.

Furthermore, during my time at the company, I provided support for the maintenance of the Visual PRO/5 application for in-house users.
